The fashion industry offers a wide range of events. Fashion is always busy, from runway shows to trade fairs. What events should not be missed? Not all fashion events are the same. Some events are hot year after year. This is a list with the top five most anticipated fashion events you should attend or even dream about attending.
1. Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week is one the most recognizable fashion events in the world. It takes place twice a year, in September and February. Fashion designers and other notables gather in Paris, one of the world’s most important fashion capitals, to celebrate fashion. Each fashion show features four seasons of fashion, with displays of Fall and Winter trends as well as collections.
The event attracts many notables from the fashion industry as well as fashion connoisseurs. Dior, Paul Smith and Nina Ricci are just a few of the prominent designers that have their latest creations displayed.
2. Berlin Fashion Week
Berlin Fashion Week, a relatively recent event, takes place each January and July at Brandbenburg Gate. This event was created in 2007 to showcase the work of emerging designers. Berlin Fashion Week is a joint effort by the Berlin Senate, Berlin Partner GmbH and the Berlin Senate. The central contact agency responsible for overseeing foreign trade and new operations to promote Berlin as an business center. Mercedes-Benz sponsors the event, as well as a number of other fashion industry events.
The Berlin Fashion Week has been a success story for many emerging designers since its inception almost ten years ago. In an attempt to break into the highly competitive fashion industry, the designers will bring their fashions to Berlin. Fashions by Emre Ernemoglu and Fyodor Golan can be viewed at the event.
3. Berlin Premium
Berlin Premium International Fashion Trade Show was established 12 years ago and has quickly grown to be one of the most important fashion tradeshows in Northern Europe. More than 1500 design collections are showcased at the event, which attracts over 62,000 people.
The Premium International Fashion Trade Show, a bi-annual show that takes place at the STATION-Berlin exhibition halls in January and September, is called the Premium International Fashion Trade Show. More than 20,000 square metres of space are available for showcasing. This event is one of few worldwide trade shows that brings together high-quality premium brands of design at one event.
The latest trends in sportswear, women’s wear, footwear, jewellery, and accessories will be on display for attendees. Ahoc, Bella Dahl and Alex Monrow are among the notable designers who will be exhibiting their latest creations.
The Bread & Butter tradeshow, which displays the latest streetwear designs, is also available during the Premium International Fashion Trade Show. The Tempelhof Airport in Berlin hosts this event.
4. New York Fashion Week
New York Fashion Week, a biannual fashion event that takes place in New York City in February and September each year, is one of the most important fashion capitals in the world. New York Fashion Week is one of the most important fashion weeks worldwide, following London, Milan, Paris, and Paris.
Some of the most prominent fashion designers in the world attend the event, including Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Dianne von Furstenberg. It was founded in the 1940s and was the first fashion show worldwide. Its purpose is to showcase American fashions that are often second-rate to French designs.
5. Pitti Immagine Uomo
Pitti Immagine Uomo, a bi-annual event in Florence Italy, is held in January and September each year. This event showcases the latest fashion trends in Spring, Summer and Winter as well as Italian brands. You can also see an exhibit of emerging brands in addition to the established brands. In addition to being from Florence, the designers come from more than 35 countries.
Pitti Immagine Uomo showcases both menswear as well as womenswear. There are more than a thousand brands of menswear, and over 80 design collections for women. The event attracts over 35,000 people each year. The event features prominent designers such as Humberto Leon, Maison Kitsune, Carol Lim and Maison Kitsune, Paris. Pitti Immagine takes place at the Stazione Leonopolda, which was the first railway station in Florence. It hosts many exhibitions related to culture, art and contemporary living.
